Sorority Rush Outfit Guide
Sorority recruitment can be an exciting but stressful experience. Between getting settled in your dorm and long days of rush, the last thing you want to worry about is your outfit. Put your mind at ease, because the Arula team is sharing their Rush Outfit recommendations for each round! From personal experience (and lots of scrolling Rushtok), keep reading for our recruitment outfit tips and looks from the Rush Ready shop.
Go Greek & Philanthropy Round
First impressions count, but there’s no need to stress! During the first 1 or 2 rounds of recruitment, you will likely be provided with a t-shirt from your University’s Panhellenic Association. This is a matching shirt that all potential new members wear, so it’s your chance to stand out with fun shorts, pants, or a skirt. These will be the longest days during rush, so it’s important to stay comfy! For your shoes, we recommend flat sandals or a shoe with a slight platform. Finish off your look with jewelry that represents your personal style, which can be a great conversation starter!
Sisterhood Round
As the rounds progress, you’ll spend more time with fewer houses. You’ll get to know the sisters better, and have the chance to share more of who you are. Show your authentic self during this round with a mini dress or romper with a bit of personality. Pair it with some platform heels to dress up your outfit while staying comfortable. Add classic gold hoops and you’re sure to shine!
Preference Round
Preference Round is the final, and most formal, round of recruitment. You’ll want to dress up and have fun with it – a midi dress, semi-formal dress, or jumpsuit is perfect for this round. Choose something that you’re comfortable in so that you can give all your focus to chatting with sisters and making your final decisions about which house you see yourself in. Accent your look with heels and dainty jewelry, and you’ll be ready to go.
You’ve got this!
Remember to stay true to yourself and let your unique style and personality shine through. Whether it's a matching t-shirt with a twist, a mini dress with a dash of personality, or a stunning midi dress with delicate accessories, your outfits can reflect your individuality and open the doors to meaningful conversations. So, embrace the process with confidence, be open to new experiences, and trust that the right sisterhood will embrace you for who you are. This one week does not determine your college experience – you have so many amazing memories to come.
