A Handmade Whimsical Christmas

For every display that we design, we always try to make a nod – even if subtle – to our give-back mission because giving back is at the core of everything we do here at Altar’d State. Our give-back mission for this Christmas season is centered around providing shelter in our communities. Every Monday across America, 10% of our net proceeds in-store and online will be donated to local organizations that shelter the homeless, house our furry friends, lend help to the battered and abused as well as providing spiritual counseling as a form of shelter. As we brainstormed our window theme – we chose to include dogs as a tie back to our ultimate goal of giving back.

We got to work creating our DIY Christmas by crafting handmade trees using felt, lights and yarn pom poms in a fresh updated fun take on the traditional Christmas color palette. We bring to life a whimsical handcrafted winter wonderland. Handmade pups are making merry amongst the DIY tree forest filled with presents – plenty of opportunities to create mischief here. Our quote for this season is "It’s not what’s around the tree, it’s who is around it."
